Metal catalysts

The core of this catalytic converter is a metal monolith, a honeycomb structure through which exhaust gases flow.

Metal catalysts are the most effective in limiting the amount of toxins in the exhaust gases. They are also the most resistant in their lifespan. The contact surface is coated with precious metals: platinum and rhodium or palladium and rhodium which reduce exhaust pollutants.
